Most Used Baby Products: Month 3 and 4

Hello, remember me? It’s been awhile. I had much better intentions and plans for writing more posts but life happens. We are currently nearing the end of month 4 with Turner and I am finally sharing my must haves for month 3 and 4.

Our Hatch Rest is used for naps and nighttime sleep. I love it because my husband and I can both control it from the app on our phones. It even has timers and favorites you can set. It easily turns on when you touch the top of it. Our favorite sound to use is the “TV Static” one.

We give these Enfamil Probiotic drops to Turner everyday. I really do think it helps him to have less gas and have more regular bowel movements. We chose this brand because we use the same one for his formula.

We started using the Magic Merlin Sleep suit at 3 months for naps only. We are still using the SNOO for all nighttime sleep and will be transitioning soon. The suit helps them feel secure and relaxed without swaddling it. I think of it as the next step after swaddling and before a sleep sack. I do think it helped him nap a little better. It looks like it would be hot but it is not at all. I just recently quit using it for naps because I am trying to get him ready for all sleep in the crib in a sleep sack. You can actually use the Merlin until they roll in the suit. Plus, I won’t lie…it’s pretty cute when they have it on!

This baby Einstein Toy is the best $8 I’ve ever spent. We do try not to overstimulate him too much. Only two of his toys have flashing lights and music and this is one of them. He is mesmerized by this thing! We reserve it for emergencies when either he is very upset and we have tried everything to calm him down or for when we need 5 minutes to eat. It plays snippets of classical music and the lights go with it…so it’s educational, right?

This may seem like an odd thing to include but hear me out: you need a space heater. This idea was given to me by a friend who is also a blogger. Turner loves baths but hates being cold afterward no matter how tightly we bundle him in the bowl and hurry to dress him. I plug this small heater in before bath so it can warm the changing area. He rarely makes any fuss now when getting dried off and changed. Obviously, be mindful of safety with a baby and heater. I always unplug mine as soon as we are finished.

Sensory soft books are a must have! We have an Eric Carle one that has crinkle pages and he loves it! He will literally hold and play with it forever.

I mentioned before Turner loves his baths! He would stay in there until the water turned cold if we would let him. We have this Fisher Price tub. It has a sling for the first three or so months then you remove it. He sits one way for a few months and when he gets bigger it switches to the other way. Eventually, the green insert comes out completely. We use this tub in a bathtub but it would work in a larger sink. He also loves the little fish that has holes for water to come out. It’s lightweight, easy to clean and I feel like he is very secure in it.

I started using this Hair Spritz from Rowe Casa on a whim when he was about 2 months old. He had lost a ton of hair as babies do. I apply it nightly with a brush after his bath when his hair is damp. I cannot believe how much his hair has grown since I started using it! You can also use this on your own hair which I need to start doing. Click here to shop it and use code MEGAN20 for a discount. (Code only good through December 18th)

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: My Picks

It’s here y’all! This year I’ve narrowed it down to the items I absolutely love and think will be gone quickly. Feel free to browse and shop anything you like through liketoknow.it – I’ll be updating frequently throughout the sale. I appreciate you shopping my links and keeping this little blog of mine going! Here are some of my favorites:

sweaters

Here are some of my favorite sweater picks! I already own the Barefoot Dreams Cardigan in Black (pictured above in grey) and it’s hands down one of the most amazing pieces I’ve ever felt. The most soft thing on the planet! I also own a few of the Leith Cardigans from years past (pictured in pink on the second row, middle) and they’re definitely staple pieces of mine. This year I’m really digging anything leopard or pink!

pants

These are my favorite bottoms from the sale. I already have the Alo Moto Leggings and they’re great! I get a small in them. I swear by Articles of Society pants because they’re skinny jeans fit like a glove! Of course I’m loving the leopard joggers for only $30. I’ve also had my eye on the coated skinnies by BlankNYC since my old ones are worn smooth out.

shoes

The shoes to me had the best selection that I’ve ever seen. I already own the grey Lucky Booties and they’re super cute but fair warning: they’re not super comfy because the heel is a lot higher than it looks. If I did’t already have snakeskin booties I’d definitely snag these. I’m loving all the sneaker choices! The pairs of Nikes are such a steal and the leopard wedge sneakers are waterproof. The black Steve Madden over the knee boots have been number one on my list because I think they’ll actually stay up on my legs without falling!

homeandbeauty

I always get an Antica Farmcista Prosecco Diffuser every year. My mother in law introduced me to this brand and I can’t get enough. The La Mer and Drybar sets are a fabulous deal that I’ve purchased in years past. You can’t go wrong with a set of Nest hand soaps. Both of the throws come highly recommended with the Kennebunk one for only $25 while the Barefoot Dreams blanket is splurge at a little over $100. The Barefoot Dreams blanket is definitely on my Christmas wishlist!

I told y’all I would keep it to the items I seriously love! Now, obviously I didn’t purchase all of these items but once I get the ones that I did order I’ll do a try on and let you know what I’m keeping! Head to the liketoknow.it app to shop any items you like in my post. Thanks for all the support y’all! Happy Shopping!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019

nsale

Something big is coming this Friday! It’s my favorite sale of the year: the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I’m letting you in on all the tips and tricks to get the most bang for your buck during this sale.

When Can I Shop?

Early Access begins for cardholders on July 12th in store and online at 12:30 pm EST. You can apply either for a credit or debit card. The best part of the whole thing is you don’t have to pay with it during the sale if you don’t want to but you do have to have one of the cards to access the sale early. I have been shopping this sale for 5 years now and at first I shopped regular access and many things were sold out by that time.

The Anniversary Sale access opens to everyone on July 19th-August 4th in store and online. During this time some items will be restocked but it’s just a luck of the draw on which ones are. I’ll be giving constant updates on restocks during this time on my blog and Instagram.

How Can I Shop?

I prefer shopping online since I don’t live near a Nordstrom location. I shop via my laptop on the website or the app. I encourage you to create a Nordstrom account for real before the sale begins that has all your info saved. It makes check-out quicker and easier. It also is much more likely that you’ll get the pieces you want before the sell out.

What types of items will be for sale?

Fall/winter clothing and shoes for men, women, and children; items for your home and beauty products. I’m going to show you some of my favorites from last year’s sale and I’ll have a new post this weekend with my favorites from the 2019 sale.

I get one of these Leith cardigans every single year. This was last year’s gorgeous blue version. Always get your true size or size down because they run large! I have an XS on here. I paired it with the BP Camisole in black. This item will also be back this year in this color and some fun prints! I’ll definitely grab another one for layering.

The BP tees both long sleeve and short sleeve are always a great deal and perfect for layering!

My vest is North Face and I get one yearly. They go with everything and last forever. My thermal sold out during the early access last year and I still can’t get enough. The wedge tennis shoes are Steve Madden and the most comfortable for a long day of standing on your feet or walking.

Another fun camisole they had last year. I loved the color and detail on this one from WAYF.

Paired a Leith cardigan from 2 years ago from the sale with last year’s favorite dress of mine. This cute gray t-shirt material dress was worn to school and everywhere in between. I wish I had also snagged the black one they had!

This sweater is probably one of my favorite things I bought last year. It sold out during Early Access and I am still obsessed with it.

They always have the best BP Plaid shirts every year during the sale. They fit true to size and go with everything! These sneakers were also part of the sale last year.

This cardigan was 2-3 years ago but I still wear it weekly during the fall and winter. It goes with everything! It sold out during the Early Access and feels like cashmere.

My sweater is BP and can be worn forward or backward. I’d love this in another color for fall!

My Patagonia better sweater vest had been on repeat for years. I actually didn’t get it from the sale so I paid a lot more for it. Definitely a staple piece of mine for fall and winter!

I’ve almost bought this Patagonia Nano jacket every year during the sale and finally did it last year. It’s one of my most worn items and perfect for being easily packed for travel. These usually go fast during the sale!

My BlankNYC suede moto jacket is other item I never could quite pull the trigger on but is usually included in the sale. Unfortunately, I didn’t get this during the sale and it was much more expensive.

Besides all these items I love the Barefoot Dreams Cardigan, Zella Running sock packs, Antica Farmcista Diffusers and Candles in Prosecco, La Mer Favorites Kit, and Barefoot Dreams throws!

June Best Sellers

I cannot believe June is almost over y’all! Where has this year gone?! Today, I’m sharing my best sellers for this month on the liketoknow.it app! You can shop each of these items easily with the link below each photo.

The two piece set is SO good for $24. I’m wearing a small and hit it with a steamer before I wore it. The top runs a little big if you are smaller chested but I safety pinned it to make it work.

This swimsuit is so comfortable and it would be perfect for 4th of July. I’m wearing a small and it runs true to size. It’s $27 and the quality is incredible.

https://rstyle.me/n/dm9q5nch37p

The comfiest summer sundress. I got a medium for length but would’ve been fine with a small. The straps are adjustable and it is lined underneath. These wedges have also been extremely popular this month for only $24. True to size, I’m wearing my usual 6.5 in the gray.

This romper feels like pajamas! Love the pockets and wearing a small. The waist is adjustable and it’s a good length even for someone like myself with longer legs.

https://rstyle.me/n/dnjzrkch37p

I love the fit of this suit. I’m wearing a medium and it is so flattering! Not too cheeky or high cut. I was afraid the underwire in the top would be uncomfortable but I’ve worn it all day at the lake it wasn’t at all.

https://rstyle.me/n/dm36efch37p

Last but not least, this stunner! Wearing a small and only $28. I cannot believe this dress. The quality is unreal. It comes in many colors and my eye is on lavender next.

All of this month’s best sellers are available via Amazon and most are Prime shipping. Have fun shopping y’all!

Amazon Swimsuit + Coverup Roundup

Sharing all my favorites from Amazon today! You can shop all these items via www.liketoknow.it/whenpigsflyblog This palm coverup is under $20 and I’ve worn it so many times since I got it last year.

This scalloped suit comes in a couple of colors! I’m wearing a medium but it’s plenty stretchy and I could’ve done the small as well.

My hat isn’t Amazon but it’s definitely worth $45 since I’ve worn it SO many times. Linking a similar one for $15. My cover up is a couple of years old but I found the same one for $13 except its white. https://rstyle.me/+U9SeebOBQD4xd8pA87aOqQ

Snakeskin is everything right now and I’m loving this for $20. I’m wearing a small.

This one piece is so cute as a body suit or swimsuit. I got the medium since I have a long torso but the straps are adjustable.

This was my top selling item of April. I’m in a medium and this two piece is only $15.

Another cover up that’s a few years old but still available for $13! https://rstyle.me/+r-aZRIam0jSFwE5vhpW1yw

Love this set and it comes in a ton of different colors and patterns. Sunglasses are also available via Amazon.

Questions about fit or anything else from my haul? I’ll be glad to answer if you’ll leave me a comment! Happy shopping!

Megan
